Peter Pan and Tinkerbell Party

Last weekend I got to have my birthday party with Emma.  We had a Peter Pan and Tinkerbell party.  I got to be Peter Pan!  My Nona made my costume, and it is awesome.  I want to wear it all the time!  The party was so much fun.  We got to have a Bounce House in my Nona and Papa's back yard.  I got lots of cool presents, like a great big package of 70 cars from Auntie Em and a pirate hat from my Grandma.  And the cake that Aunt Carla made was soooo yummy.  I can't wait for my real birthday, now.  I'm going to be 3 on Tuesday!

First Day of Preschool

Today was the first day of Preschool.  I had so much fun!  I go to The Children's House at the First Presbyterian Church of Youngstown.  It is a Montessori school.  I did lots of fun things today.  I got to play with playdough, we played outside, we talked about weather, and we sang songs about fish going "Splash! Boom!"  I even got to feed the class fish.  My favorite part was drinking apple juice.  We made it in a really loud machine from real apples!  It was so exciting and I can't wait until Thursday when I get to go back.

The Potty Trained Prize

Mommy and Daddy told me that when I went 5 days without any accidents, they would take me to the zoo.  I did really well, and they FINALLY took me to the Buffalo Zoo.  We had such a fun day!  I got to see the elephants, lions, tigers, bears, reindeer, and lots more.  They even had a green polar bear there.  I also got to play on the playground with the really big slide.  And the Rainforest building had a bouncy bridge that went over the little crocodiles that you could jump on.  Mommy wasn't so sure I should, but since they were very, very little crocodiles, she decided they probably couldn't eat me.  It has been 2 weeks since I've had an accident now, and Mommy and Daddy owe me a trip to the Buffalo Museum of Science next!

Rice Cereal

Hi, I'm Tucker.  Mommy says that Jackson has to share his blog with me.  So, I thought I'd tell you all about yesterday.  Yesterday, was my 4 month birthday.  It was also the day I found out that Mommy had been holding out on me!  She finally gave me rice cereal, and it was wonderful.  She swears I had it a few days ago, but I don't remember it being like that.  I really, really enjoyed it.  In fact, I was so sad when it was gone that I cried.  Mommy felt bad and made me another bowl.  When that was gone, I cried again.  I think I cried whenever the spoon wasn't in my mouth.  I ended up eating 4 whole bowls and then sucking on the spoon until every last drop was gone!  I tried to get her to make me more, but she said I might throw up.  I didn't though.  I did a really good job.  She says she is going to start giving me lots of good things to eat.  I can't wait!

When I grow up...

So today Jackson came to me with his very first "When I grow up I wanna be..." He said, "Mommy, I know what I wanna be when I get big." I asked him what, and he responded "A Mommy!" and gave me a great big hug. He wasn't even angling for fruit snacks! I didn't have the heart to tell him he couldn't.

Other cute things he said recently were:
"Drive Safe!" to his father every morning. He actually gets pretty upset if his Daddy leaves before he has a chance to tell him to drive safe.
While we were pretending to be in a car that he was driving, he was making great, big steering motions and leaning really far over. When I asked him what he was doing he said, "Driving crazy! Like Daddy!" (I think the two may be connected!)
"It's ok, Tuck. Your Jackson is here."
"Let me know if you need a bandaid or some cold water. I get it for you." After I told him it was time to go inside and get ready for bed because I was getting eaten alive by mosquitos.
"What does 'hard wood floor' start with?" We were talking about what letter different things start with.
And lasty, this came today from out of the blue while I was sitting on the couch with Tuck. "Mom, put Tuck in his swing and go check your email." I still haven't figured out what he wanted to do, but it couldn't have been good if he needed me to leave the baby.

4 Month Well Visit

Tucker had his 4 month well child visit today. He weighed in at a whopping 16lbs 9.5oz and is already 26 inches long. The outfit he had on today was one of my favorite outfits from when Jack was 10 months old. They do say every child is different... Poor Tucker did have to get 3 shots, but he was very brave and only cried when he was given the Pentacel, which is an especially painful one. Jackson, however, was upset enough for the both of them. As soon as the doctor mentioned the nurse would be in to give Tucker his shots, he hid under the chair and started sobbing and begging me to take them home right away. He didn't want Tucker to have to get a shot. He is such a sweet big brother.
